ME4: Charity Update

We thought you’d like to know that ME4 has raised nearly £500 for Holding On Letting Go since it was released at the end of October (nearly £600 if you count the Gift Aid). This is a fantastic amount and we thank everyone who has donated so far. Sadly, one disappointing statistic that leaps out is that less than 10% of those who have downloaded the album have donated. We appreciate that many of those will be artists who have contributed to ME4 in other ways, and we’re very grateful to them. Plus the album was always ostensibly free, and donations entirely voluntary. We know that.

But…

We think it’s just possible that some of you have downloaded and forgotten to go back and donate. That’s fine. The Just Giving page is still open and you can donate HERE. It also occurs to us that some people might be unable or reluctant to donate online, and we think we have a solution to that.

You can now donate via text message. It’s really easy. You can choose to donate £1, £2, £3, £4, £5 or £10. All you have to do is send a text to 70070 with the code EYES61 and the amount you want to donate, for example ‘EYES61 £2‘. That’s all there is to it. You’ll get a text receipt and the opportunity claim Gift Aid. Job done.

Holding On Letting Go is a Medway charity that helps kids between 6 and 16 to cope with bereavement.
